CHEADLE & GATLEY JFC
NEW UNDER 7 TEAMS 2022/23 SEASON
From the end of May 2022 the grassroots football 2021/22 season comes to a close.
Over the next couple of months our coaches will begin to form the foundations of our Cheadle & Gatley JFC under 7 teams ready for the 2022/23 season which will begin in September.
Places in the teams will be made up of players from our Cheadle & Gatley JFC Soccer School.
Cheadle & Gatley JFC Under 7 training will take place on the artificial 3G pitch at Seashell Trust on a Wednesday evening, starting Wednesday 13th June.
Due to the number of players in the group sessions will be split over 2 hours.
5pm until 6pm & 6pm until 7pm.

OUR TEAMS
& HOW THEY ARE FORMED
Cheadle & Gatley JFC have teams at all ages & strive to offer options for players of all levels of ability
Our coaches will try to take friendship groups into account when forming teams but through many years of experience, realise that teams are happier in the longterm when players of similar abilities play together
At the end of the u7 & u8 seasons our teams are assessed & we do look to move players around if we feel that we can offer an option that we feel would suit that player better
Changes to teams may be made mid season if we feel that it would be best for the player / team sooner rather than later.
Please Note :
Every football team that has ever existed has stronger & weaker players.
Any potential changes would only be made by our coaches with the children's best interests at heart.
Over the past couple of years we have had a handful of players joining u7 teams & after a couple of months it became clear that the player was struggling with the environment.
In this rare situation we would look to pull the player out of the team & place them into our Elite Football Coaching development group, which keeps players training & playing occasional friendly fixtures against hand picked opposition.
We would look to filter the player back in to teams at a later date once we felt that they were ready.
